Historical Overview
Dulles is an unincorporated community in Loudoun County, Virginia. It got its name in the mid-1980s when it was agreed that Sterling businesses could use Dulles as an alternative address.
Close by is the Washington Dulles International Airport from which the community also takes its name. Although the airport is partially based in Fairfax County, it has a major influence on this community. The airport takes its title from John Dulles, former U.S. Secretary of State.
The town is home to several large companies and small businesses, including the Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems headquarters, Radiant Solutions, and ODIN Technologies.
